(Enforcement of flanking measures)

The area of Working Conditions is the enforcement, competence and service center of the Office for Economy and Labour in respect of questions pertaining to Labour Law (protection of occupational health and safety at the workplace),

the protection of employees against passive smoking (Federal Act on Protection against Passive Smoking),

parts of the Environmental Protection Law and the Ordinance on Noise Protection,

supervision of the consumer credit business, private employment agencies and supply of staff.

The focus of our activities lies in prevention, i.e. the prevention of accidents at work and occupational illnesses through checks, assessments, authorizations as well as counseling of authorities, employers and employees.
